Welcome to my Pilots N Paws Blog

PILOTS N PAWS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. PilotsNpaws.org provides an online meeting place for pilots and other volunteers to coordinate the transport of innocent animals (many of which are on death row to be euthanized) from shelters and foster homes to their new families. The members of Pilots N Paws donate their own aircraft, time and costs to give these animals a new chance at life.

About the pilot

Jason has been flying for over ten years and has been a certified private pilot for over five. His newest endeavor is acting as a volunteer rescue pilot with pilots-n-paws. www.pilotsnpaws.org

In addition to his joy of casual flying, Jason has recently completed instrument pilot certification, and is looking forward to becoming a flight instructor and finishing the rotorcraft add-on. An accomplished aviator, Jason continues to visit new and exciting airports.

Beginning in 2001, while enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, Jason served as an air traffic controller at home as well as overseas, and is now working for the FAA as a certified tower controller.

PILOTS N PAWS MISSIONS

The Pilots N Paws forums section is where all the rescue and transport coordinations are made. Individuals post their requests on the mission board for pilots to see. If a pilot is available for a certain mission they respond to the requester via the forum discussion post.

The Pilots N Paws forum also provides an area for pilots to exchange ideas and a place for rescue volunteers to plan and discuss logistics, routes, hand-offs and other pertinent information.
